Salman Khan Bajrangi Bhaijaan made 100 Crore in First Weekend

It was a singularly happy Eid Salman Khan for the actor whose new film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has made its 100 crore in its first weekend.

In fact, the film has grossed just over the baseline of box office receipts. Bajrangi Bhaijaan released on July 17, the start of the Eid weekend has traditionally been reserved for Salman on the Bollywood calendar.


Bajrangi Bhaijaan following blockbuster shots of the multi-lingual Baahubali – Rs 300 crores so far – who spent a week in theaters before the Salman’s movie came. However, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has broken the record for the other Khan ‘, so its 100 million rupees faster than Aamir Khan PK and Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year, which stopped just short of the finish line at the end one week. PK is currently the highest-grossing Bollywood film in India with over Rs.740 crore (US$120 million) released on 19 December 2014.

The film stars are Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra.
