IndiGo is working to stay ahead of its competitors, not only when it comes to fare discounts and facilities offered to the pilots, but also in the pay package that gives to its staff. According to the report, the airline has raised the salaries of its pilots by 8 percent and its cabin crew by 16 percent.

After the hike, first officer of IndiGo will earn Rs 2.61 lakh to fly 50 hours. He can earn Rs 3.3 lakh by registering 90 hour flight. For a senior officer, the salary will be Rs 3.75 lakh per month for 70 hours, going up to Rs 4.3 lakh for 90 hours. A captain IndiGo now earn Rs 6.01 lakh every month for 70 flight hours and more than Rs 7 lakh for 90 hours.
For cabin crew assistant, salary has increased to 31,000 rupees every month while a flight attendant high gain Rs 40,000. The salary of a flight attendant lead has risen to 60,000 rupees, while the crew verification earn Rs 90,000 for 40 flight hours. If the records of the cabin crew on 90 hour flight, which will be entitled to a bonus ranging from Rs 45,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
IndiGo, which recently filed papers for an initial public offering, has a 97-strong fleet and 1,448 pilots in their rolls.
According to the report, IndiGo has also given out bonuses to its staff for the fifth year in a row. The vehicle is said to have given bonus to its staff in seven of the eight years of its existence.
In early May, SpiceJet had increased the salaries of its pilots flying its Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft by 10 percent and 20 percent, respectively. GoAir has also promised a walk early in staff salaries.
