New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Council will meet in Delhi on Saturday to ratify its leader Amit Shah. This will be the first national council meeting, when the BJP-led NDA in charge of the center.
The meeting, which was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, will gain approval, as well as the new party leader and conclude with Prime Minister Narendra Modi address: Senior BJP leaders across the country are expected to attend a one-day meeting. Besides Amit Shah’s endorsement as the new party leader of the National Council also adopted a resolution, which will focus on political and economic issues, as well as initiatives by the government.
Strengthen the organization and strategies for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Haryana and Delhi are also on the agenda: The Prime Minister Modi, senior leaders Rajnath Singh and LK Advani also addressed.
Shah took over as BJP chief Rajnath Singh resigned July 9 after the resignation of his cabinet to join Narendra modi. While the BJP Parliamentary Board of the party’s highest decision-making forum to confirm the appointment of interests, that must be ratified by the party’s National Council, according to the party constitution.
Shah is credited with scripting BJP’s stunning victory in the key state in the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh- help BJP got an absolute majority on its own and was awarded the post of party leader.
50-year-old Shah, Modi’s closest aide was unanimously appointed to the top post in the party BJP’s parliamentary board meeting on July 9, after the ratification of his appointment, Shah will form a new team that will lead this party.
Sources claim that the new team includes a number of young leaders because the party wants voters to focus on strengthening the communication and the common man, when preparing for the upcoming assembly elections in various countries. National Council meeting was held in Delhi in view of the fall session, which is expected to be August 14.
