Arun Jaitley allocated Rs.400 Crore in Indian Sports

New Delhi: Arun Jaitley (Indian Finance Minister on Thursday allocated Rs.400 crores in Indian sports, including sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir upgrading a university in Manipur sports and athletes for the upcoming British Commonwealth Games and Asian Games training development.

The Govt. will invest Rs.200 crores to enhance the indoor and outdoor stadiums of international standard status in Jammu and Kashmir


Arun Jaitley also allocated Rs.100 crores in the September training athletes Glasgow Commonwealth Games start on July 23, the Asian Games in Incheon (City in South Korea).

The Govt. will setup a National Institute of Sports, Arun Jaitley said in his first Budget speech. The Govt. will also establish a center for sports people with disabilities.

These institutions will provide world-class training facilities in primary and junior secondary levels. School will also be set to boxing, wrestling, shooting, archery, weightlifting, and track and field events sports.
